Who can take this course: anyone who completes World History 

Length of course: One Semester 

Guiding Philosophy/Purpose
This course is meant as a reflection on different religions and cultures from around the world.  Reading and discussion as well as self-reflection are central to the course.  Students are asked to reflect on the nature of the human experience, and how this connects with different concepts of ultimate reality. 

Topics Covered
Why People Believe, Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism & Confucianism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Religions in Today’s World

The opportunity to think about who you are and how you connect to global cultures; to become more informed on the role of religion in today’s world; and, to discover cultural values and religions that may be different from your own.
