Who can take this course: Juniors and Seniors

Length of course: One Semester (dual credit with Trinity College)

Guiding Philosophy/Purpose
What is the meaning of life? … “to find the reason for which I can live and die.” Everyone has a philosophy.  Find out your own, discuss it with others, and study philosophies of the past.

Topics Covered
The great Western philosophers of the past 2400 years, such as Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Epicurus, Marcus Aurelius, Aquinas, Descartes, Hume, Kant, Kierkegaard, Sartre, Nietzsche and MORE!

Benefits of taking Philosophy
WISDOM!!! Honors Credit.  College Credit through Trinity College, which can be transferred to the college you attend after Stevenson. The course experience will prepare you to succeed in college classes.
